Section I. Name
Section 1. The name of this organization is North Tahoe Bridge Club.
Section 2. Form of Organization, Purpose and Operation.
2.1 Its form of organization, its ideals, and its purpose shall be similar to those of all sanctioned bridge clubs.
2.2 The purpose of the North Tahoe Bridge Club shall be to assist participants in learning duplicate bridge and to promote interest in and enjoyment of Sanctioned Duplicate Bridge within the Tahoe Community.
2.3 The activities of the North Tahoe Bridge club shall include participation in ACBL sanctioned games.
Section 3. Membership
3.1 Eligibility. Membership shall be open to all ACBL members their spouses and guests.
. Section 4. Officers and Executive Committee
4.1 Officers. The officers of this Club shall consist of a Club Manager and Treasurer who serve voluntarily and are members in good standing of the ACBL (American Contract Bridge League).
4.2 Executive Committee: The organization’s affairs will be managed by an Executive Committee composed of the officers, ACBL certified Directors of the Club and one volunteer from the general membership.
Section 5. Duties of the Officers
5.1 Club Manager
(a) Oversee the duties of the treasurer, call meetings when deemed appropriate, seek new ways to improve the Club consistent with the wishes of the general membership, and keep the Club informed of any changes and/or modifications of the ACBL rules which could affect the Club.
5.2 Treasurer
(a) Keep an updated roster of participants.
(b) Maintain records as required/requested by the Club.

(d) Submit the required 990-N form for tax-exempt organizations to the Internal Revenue Service.
Section 6. Games
7.1 Regular and Other Games. Regular and other games will be held at times and places determined by the Club Manager and in accordance with ACBL rules and regulations.
7.2 All games must be directed by an ACBL Certified Director, who will receive a nominal fee for this service.
Section 7. Committees
Committees may be established by the Executive Committee as needed.
Section 8. Dues and Fees
8.1 Dues. There shall be no dues to be a member of the North Tahoe Bridge Club.
8.2 Fees. In order to receive master points from the ACBL, participants will be assessed a nominal fee when they play in a sanctioned game. This fee will be determined by the Executive Committee.
Section 9. Charitable Donations
9.1 At the end of each fiscal year, a portion of the club’s net income will be donated to a local charity.
9.2 In the event of dissolution of the club, any remaining funds will be donated to a local charity.
